The off-road community is mourning the loss of Rich Caselli., Caselli, 57, died yesterday in Palmdale, California to a silent battle of cancer. Rich was well known in the desert racing and 6 days community. He was instrumental in his son Kurt’s career and was the force behind the ISDE Junior win in NZ 2 years ago. Rich also was the man behind getting a competitive US Trophy team together at this years ISDE in Greece. He sure believed that they have a shot at winning the “Trophy”. He sure will be missed. “Good bye my friend”

We received a confirmation that Valli Motorsports will sponsor a three man team to compete in the 2009 WORCs series and other high visibility off road events. Chad Lanza is the financing behing this phenomenal new team as his only motivation is that he wants a competitive off road team and he has the money to do so. Bobby Bonds, Bobby Garrison & Kyle Summers have all been contractually signed along with their respective mechanics. A new 18 wheeler with a classic featherlite trailer professionally designed to haul the bikes and equipment has been ordered, a state of the art race shop in San Jose, CA has been arranged and at this time we are still deciding on either Yamaha or Honda motorcycles. Steve Hatch has been contacted and is working on a fitness routine for each rider along with his former Suzuki Manager Charles Halcomb who will oversee and assemble this new team. Dennis Stapleton has been hired as a rider consultant/manager and we are anxious to start assembling the pieces of this phenomenal new effort.
Great Britain annouced their ISDE teams: Trophy: Simon Wakely, Ed Jones, Dylan Jones, Daryl Bolter, Tom Sagar and Jason Thomas. Junior: Lee Edmondson Ollie Moyce, Ashley Wood and Jamie Paget. More info
