Tom Sagar

8th March 2010, SAGAR WINS IN WALES
Fasteddyracing.com rider Tom Sagar rode his Putoline Suzuki RMX450Z to a resounding victory on Sunday at the WOR Events Time Card Enduro in Cefn Llywd forest, North Wales. Setting the fastest time twice on the Special Test section, Sagar continued to ride hard despite part of the course still holding the overnight frost in places and by the mid-way point had a considerable lead over closest rivals Rowland Morris and Andrew Edwards.
With the significant margin gained, Sagar rode steadily around the course but continued to give his all on the impressive Special Test and crashed on Test four, remounting and still setting the second fastest time. By the end of Test five, victory was his and he was very impressed with the performance of the RMX450Z on such a fast course and challenging Special Test. Sagar: ‘This bike continues to amaze me with its capabilities. I binned it a couple of times on the fire roads but picked it up and there was not a scratch on it, it is very tough. I tried a hydraulic clutch today, which worked really well and, as is the nature of any team, we consistently try to make minor improvements, but the bike is the real deal straight out of the box.” Team Sponsors: Putoline, Suzuki GB PLC, Metzeler, Moose Clothing, Lazer, Smith, Gaerne, DEP, MXM Graphics, Renthal, Talon, Regina, Optima Racing, Fasteddyracing.com, Rygor Commercials. Round 2 of the GNCCs was held near Washington Georgia. With some work done to make sure the problems we had in Florida were a thing of the past, I was confident of a better result this time out. My jump off the line was ok but got pinched out coming into turn one. I was able to duck up the inside and into the top 5 and avoid a pile up. During the first lap there were several lead changes but eventually my teammate Thad Duvall made a break for it and took control of the race. He set a fast pace and built a lead of over 40 seconds. The track was in good shape and the mudholes were minimal, although still catching some riders out. It was also pretty rough with the puggy soil in the woods cutting up fast. I was racing with Josh Strang for 2nd place in the first half of the event until I collided with a lapped rider and lost a lot of time trying to restart my bike. Josh closed in on Thad and they duked it out until Thad crashed heavily and retired from the race. Late in the race I wore through my grip on the throttle side and could feel it balling up under my thumb but it didn't really effect my speed. Josh was riding good and no matter how much I tried I couldn't make up any time and had to take second. I was happier with the result but these first 2 races have highlighted some things we need to work on and we plan to be a lot more prepared by the Steel Creek GNCC and be ready to make up some lost points.

Torcs Round 2 Goertz Ranch

Doyle, Kirkpatrick, Young

I am happy to tell everyone that I am back into the series points lead after the third round in Florida were I claimed second place finish! I was only 8 seconds away from the win down there, but was happy with my finish since the Alligator is notoriously rugged. Mike put in a great effort at the end of the race, made a pull and made it back into the lead. I rode a little too conservative in the wet 4th section and it set me back a good chunk of time. David Knight went out with bike problems in that same section!
I then went on to race the Georgia GNCC and placed 7th in the Pro Class. I had a good time racing something different and it felt really good to pull a mean holeshot on all of the 450's!! Now I am focusing on getting ready for the Texas National Enduro and will go hit the local moto tracks for some practice.
