It's been a very busy past couple of months. 5,500 plus miles on the road and 3 rounds of the 2008 National Enduros in the history books. Here's the break down month by month, I will be sending reports every month from here on out to keep the reports shortened up:
December:
A very exciting month. Alan Randt and I got to help out at the RedBull Last Man Standing. We organized the riders for interviews and helped out the camera crew. I got to stand in for some photo shoots for the DVD as well.
The most exciting part was riding the KTM 300XC-F for Dirt Rider Magazine. The write up is in the latest issue. I got to show off the 2008 KTM Hard Equipment gear and all the quality Enduro Engineering products. The bike was also pimped out with custom graphics by Johnny Signs. The 300 kit is just what the 250F needs.
January:
January took me to the first round of the National Enduro Series in Wedgefield SC. Going into this round I was suffering a terrible head cold. I got to shack off most of the cold in the mini bike race that was featured Saturday night under the lights. There was a huge turn out and I walked away with top honors and some dinner money. It was Red Lobster for Jimbo(my co-pilot) and I.
The race on Sunday was perfect, with choice wet sandy conditions. I felt right at home. I finished the day with 11th in the AA class and 12th overall.
February:
In February I was off to Greensboro GA for the 2nd round of the National Enduro Series. With wet Georgia clay conditions I know it would be a tough race. I was feeling 100% healthy and looking to bring my AA game. I started the day off slow as usual but made up some valuable points after gas. I finished 12th in the AA class and 13th overall.
March:
March was a good month. I stated the month off by getting an interview spot on Pitt Pass radio. We started the interview by talking about all the quality products made at Enduro Engineering and ended it talking about my racing accomplishments.
March also brought the 3rd round of the National Enduro Series. On Saturday I got to do some much needed fine tuning on my 2008 KTM 250 XC-F. They had a 3 mile test section set up that was a very close replica of the course to come on Sunday. Waking up Sunday morning I was feeling more confident than the previous rounds and knew that if I were to ride smart and get some good scores early in the race that I had a chance to break the top 10. Things went well. The terrain was choice, a damp sandy clay mix made for optimal traction. My Maxxis SI tires and Enduro Engineering suspension worked great. I finished with a 7th in the AA class and 8th overall.

With 3 rounds down I am sitting in 6th overall:

Once again, I will try to send these once a month to keep down on the length and get into more detail.
