SAGAR WINS PUTOLINE XC2
Putoline Suzuki by www.fasteddyracing.com rider Tom Sagar, added yet another victory to the growing list for the new Suzuki RMX450Z, by winning the second round of the Putoline XC Championship, held at Buildwas, near Ironbridge in Shropshire yesterday.
Leading a quality field of Pro riders right from the start of the 2.5-hour race, Sagar continued his run of blistering form around the technical four-mile course, proving that the new RMX450Z really can take taking everything in its stride.
Sagar: “This event was a great opportunity to try the new bike in really technical and challenging terrain and it came up trumps. I knew it had plenty of grunt and flat out speed but it showed me today just how well it can handle the tight stuff too. The smooth power delivery was spot on for the many gnarly uphill climbs through the woodland sections, which became very rooty in places, but I always felt there was plenty of grip.”
Team manager Paul Edmondson:“Another great result for Tom and the RMX. The crucial factor to this is how comfortable he feels with the new bike. He’s able to ride within his limits and still take victory, which is clearly very positive as we get ready for world competition in the coming weeks and of course the second round of the British Enduro Championship before that.”

Wattsy1

Due to a last minute scheduling change, former GNCC Pro Overall Champion Shane Watts will now be able to compete at this weekend's Rd 3 of the GNCC race series, which will be held close to his current residence of Newton, NC. Watts is enthusiastic for his return to GNCC competition, although it will be limited just to this weekend's morning race. In conjunction with Watts' return will be the first appearance along the GNCC vendor row of his new sponsor Extremeion/Carbon Raptor Factory fork tube coatings in association with Stillwell Performance Suspension.
Watts: "I'm stoked to be lining up this weekend especially seeing as my former championship rival Rodney Smith will be hitting it as well. It brings back memories of the "glory days" when we both secured several Pro victories at this location. Unfortunately my preparation for the event won't be the best as I'll be driving back home most of Saturday night from my sold out DirtWise Riding school in New Jersey. It will be hectic but the guys from Extremeion will already have my race bike there on display at their booth so all I'll have to do Sunday morning is go jump on it and twist the (Domino) throttle! For sure my race fitness to last the distance will be questionable, however I was able to prepare somewhat by competing in a Texas Championship race last weekend, following my DirtWise school there, finishing a commendable 2nd Overall to regional Pro fast guy Caleb Ramsay."

enduro_ga                                                                                                                                                                                            My season started off a little slow this year. I took a 10th at the opening round of the enduro season. I did not ride as well as I would have liked to, but, I shook it off and moved on. At the second race of the season in GA, I felt better and rode strong all day. I ended up taking an 8th place. I rode as well as I could and did not make any mistakes, so, I was happy with the results. Going into the 3rd round in FL I was confident and knew I could place well; as I had been training down at Croom for the two weeks leading up to the race. I finished with a 4th place, and I finally felt back to where I needed to be. I also competed at the second round of the GNCC series in GA in the XC2 class. I was 4th going into the woods and actually lead part of the first lap. Those guys are extremely fast and I kind of backed it down after the second lap so I didn’t kill myself. I ended up getting 8th in the class and 16th overall, so I was happy with my results and had a lot of fun. I am looking forward to racing in Texas for the 4th round of the National Enduro Series and competing in some GNCC’s when I can. I would really like to thank my sponsors for everything; I definitely could not do it without everyone’s help: KTM, KTM power parts and power wear, Canyon Motorsports, Factory Connection, Kenda, Enduro Engineering, Ride PG, FMF, Tire Balls, Arai, Hellion Designs, Bullet Proof Designs, Scott, EVS, Hinson, Renthal, Alpinestar and a special thanks to Brooks Hamilton.
